Today at bike safety we learnt how to control our bikes and use hand signals. Our teachers were Constable Jos and Constable Terri. They work for the Greymouth Police. Our first hand signal was to tell people we are going left by putting our left hand out. Our second lesson was to tell people we were going right by putting our right hand out. Now the test, we have got to go around the cones and up the ramps and down the ladder.

Left! “Right!” “Turn!” I turn and come speeding back to do the course again. I park my bike next to the pole and wait for my go.

This time it’s the test .Go in and out the cones right round the court, come back round to go up the first seesaw turn come back and go up the second. Turn again and go over the ladder, come back park my bike next to the pole and wait my turn…….

Bike Safety
Police Constable Jos came to do bike safety. He lined us up and checked our helmets and our bikes. The first thing we did was to put our hands out and then we had to look back at Constable Jos. We had to do signals and we practised stopping. We did a slow bike race it was fun.
